The Jigawa State Government, in partnership with the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), has taken a significant leap in digital governance by launching the JIGAWA ONE API.
This is an AI-driven platform designed to streamline government services and integrate the modern cutting-edge technologies.
However, this was revealed in a press statement made available recently by Hamisu Mohammed Gumel, the Chief Press Secretary to the Jigawa state Governor.
He said the partnership was made known during the closing ceremony of the E-Government Capacity Building Programme, held at the Man Power Development Institute Dutse, attended by Governor Malam Umar Namadi and KOICA’s Country Director, Mr. Son Sungil
According to the release that the platform leverages artificial intelligence to enhance data analysis and decision-making in government’s Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
The release also said the platform serves as a central hub for integrating e-government solutions, facilitating data sharing and collaboration across MDAs.
It further explained that the platform is all about “Blockchain and Quantum Computing” that can drive the state into e-governance.
The release stated that the platform incorporates these technologies to ensure secured data management and advanced analytics.
“It enhanced Transparency by providing a unified platform for data sharing, the JIGAWA ONE API promotes transparency and accountability in government operations.
“The AI-driven platform automates processes, reducing the time and resources required for data analysis and decision-making.
“The platform enables citizens to access government services and information easily, fostering greater engagement and participation in governance” it added.
In view of this, Jigawa State Government has recently trained 112 civil servants from 50 MDAs under the E-Government Capacity Building Programme to ensure effective utilization of the platform.
During the occasion, Governor Malam Umar Namadi announced his administration plan to update the state’s e-governance master plan, developed five years ago.
He said this would be achieved with support from the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), to align with emerging trends in e-governance, artificial intelligence, and smart government services.
