Alhaji Mustaph Sule Lamido, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Jigawa State during the 2023 general election, has picked the party’s nomination form to contest the governorship again in 2027.
Mustapha, son of former Jigawa governor Alhaji Sule Lamido, presented the form to the PDP State Working Committee and other party stakeholders in Dutse for their endorsement.
Addressing the stakeholders, Lamido said he had completed consultations and was seeking the party’s approval to serve as its flagbearer in the next election.
He said he is the PDP card-carrying member, and the believe in their party’s philosophy, strength, and resilience to tackle its internal challenges and surmount the problems affecting Jigawa and Nigeria if given the chance again
He added that the PDP has a proven record of delivering projects and programs that directly improve people’s lives.
Lamido criticized other political parties that have held power since, saying they had worsened the country’s social, economic, and security challenges through poor leadership.
He also urged all PDP members in Jigawa to support him and pledged to continue promoting the party’s core values of patriotism and service to humanity.
