The meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jigawa State chapter has brought together it’s members of the party under a unified umbrella against the 2027.
In a Communique issued after recently said the meeting has renewed its support and loyalty to the leadership of the Jigawa State PDP under the guidance of Alhaji Sule Lamido and the State Working Committee under Honourable Babandi Ibrahim Gumel.
According to the communique that Members expressed their appreciation and commendations to the National Working Committee, the Board of Trustees, the National Executive Committee and other organs of the Party for the steps being taken so far to revamp the Party.
The meeting expressed the appreciation of the Jigawa PDP family to all the Organs of the Party namely the NWC, NEC, BOT and the PDP Governors’Forum for putting all necessary arrangements for the forthcoming National Convention based on the provisions of the Constitution, rules and regulations of the Party.
It stated that all members of the Party are urged to remain calm and support all decisions of the party’s National Leadership as political events unfold in the country.
The meeting hereby very strongly call on the National Independery Electoral Commission to sanction the three members of their staff who were the subject of a prepetition for a misdemeanor in respect of the recently conducted by-election for the Babura/Garki Federal Constituency.
The meeting appreciated and commended members of the National Assembly for their support to the Party, for key developmental projects in their respective constituencies and other ongoing empowerment programs
The meeting appreciated and thanked the entire Members of the Jigawa PDP family for their tremendous effort and support during the Babura/ Garki bye-election in spite of the overbearing presence and interference of the Jigawa State Government.
Finally, the meeting urged all members of the Party in the State to continue to support the PDP in all its endeavors.
