Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed Malammadori, representing Jigawa Northeast senatorial district, has constructed and handed over a N200 million primary healthcare clinic in Yayari ward, Hadejia city to Jigawa State Government.
The Senator said the clinic, fully equipped with modern facilities, was built to complement the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Malam Umar Namadi in providing healthcare services to the people.
During the handover ceremony, Senator Malammadori from the All Progressive Congress (APC) expressed his commitment to serving the people and providing essential amenities.
“This primary healthcare clinic is a testament to our determination to provide healthcare services to the people in our constituency,” he said.
The senator added that the project was executed personally, considering the urgent need for a hospital in the area.
While speaking, Governor Malam Umar Namadi commended Senator Malammadori for the project, describing it as a solid work of standard that could match any in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
The Governor noted that the state government is constructing primary healthcare clinics in each of the 281 political wards and has achieved about 70% completion rate.
He urged other federal lawmakers to emulate Senator Malammadori’s example.
However, the senator’s gesture is a welcome development for the people of Jigawa State, who will benefit from the modern healthcare facility.
