Honourable Shuaibu Hambali Zarga, the Council chairman of Taura Local Government Area of Jigawa State, has revealed the numerous achievements of his administration, transforming the area’s healthcare, education, and economic sectors.
Speaking to reporters over the weekend in Taura town at the “Government and Citizens Engagement Program”, he highlighted the renovation of the Primary Health Centre (PHC) to resemble a General Hospital.
He said the constructed the district head’s house in Taura, and improved the educational standard, including the construction of six classrooms and renovation of eight others.
The Council Chairman also disclosed that 88,000 books were printed for primary pupils, 15,000 lesson plans were provided for teachers, and 15,000 certificates were produced.
Additionally, 136 teachers and 125 health personnel, including nursing and laboratory technicians, were employed to boost the local education and healthcare systems.
The administration has also focused on empowering women, providing 43 machines for various trades, 50 vulcanizing machines, and 50 local spaghetti making machines, with many women benefiting from pomade and perfume-making training.
However, the Council Chairman’s initiatives have brought significant improvements to Taura Local Government Area, enhancing the quality of life for residents.
The empowerment programs have empowered women, promoting economic growth and self-sufficiency.
The administration’s efforts have demonstrated its commitment to the development of Taura, setting an example for other local governments to follow.
