Jigawa State Governor, Umar Namadi has on Sunday paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Alhaji Bello Maitama, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who passed away two years ago.
Namadi during a “Government and the governed Programm” at Gwaram Local Government Area asked his Special Adviser on Religious Affairs to conduct the special prayer for the reposed of Maitama’s soul.
Governor Namadi described Alhaji Maitama as a good leader who embodied the values of compassion, humility, and integrity.
He noted that the late politician was a pillar of strength in the party and a shining example of selfless service to the people.
The Governor highlighted Alhaji Maitama’s numerous virtues, including his kindness, generosity, and commitment to the welfare of others.
He recalled how the late leader was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need and how his wise counsel and guidance had positively impacted the lives of many.
The Governor also praised Alhaji Maitama’s unwavering dedication to the APC, noting that he was a true champion of the party’s ideals and values.
As the prayer was offered for the late Maitama’s eternal rest, Governor Namadi prayed that God would grant him a place among the righteous and grant his family the strength to bear the loss.
The Governor’s tribute to the late leader was a testament to the enduring legacy of Alhaji Maitama, who will be remembered for his many good deeds and contributions to the growth and development of Jigawa State.
