Jigawa State Governor’s wife, Hajiya Amina Namadi has hosted a mass wedding for 300 orphans at the Banquet Hall, Government House in Dutse on Friday.
The ceremony united 150 young women and 150 young men into 300 couples in an event organized to support vulnerable youth in the state.
Each couple received complete household furniture and matching wedding attire provided by the governor’s wife, making the event a state-backed initiative to ease the burden on orphans starting married life.
However, the couples entered the hall in pairs and were seated in arrangements prepared for the occasion.
The ceremony was attended by women dignitaries, including the wife of the Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly and other invited guests.
